مقدمة لابد منها لمن لا يعرف هذا الإنجاز العظيم بالرغم من انه غني عن التعريف.. وبالتأكيد لن توفي قدر هذا العمل الدرامي المذهل والذي اجتنبه الحظ تماما وانظلم في الشهرة، بالرغم من حصوله علي الكثير والكثير من الجوائز الفنية التي إسنحقها وأيضا ً التي حصدها ... علاوة علي تقيم الـ IMDB الملفت للنظر..

فـ ماذا إن كانْ الوطنْ هُو مجرّدْ ( سفينهْ ) ..
و تُرابْ الوطن هو ( المُوسيقى ) .. هُو من صُنعْ أيادِيْ تُجيدْ العزفْ على أوتارْ ( المشاعرْ ) .. لـ تُقدّمْ العمل مُغلّفاً بـ الأحاسيس و العُذوبهْ ..
( 1900 ).. طِفل ( مجهُولْ ) تستقبلهْ أصواتْ مُحركاتْ تِلكْ السفينهْ .. و أيادِيْ سمراءْ حانِيهْ .. فقط .. ينشأْ و الرُوحْ جائِعة لـ أيّ تحننْ ) يُسقيهْ و يُشبعهْ ..

عملْ بـصراحة ،،، لمْ أجدْ كَلمهْ تصفْ هذا العمَلْ فلرُبمَا كلمة، ( مُذهلْ ) لن تَكفي..
( تورناتورِيْ ) يُقدّم حلقةْ من سلسلة .. و يبدُو أنها أقوى تِلك الحلقاتْ .. و يُقدّم فِيلمْ ..
بـ عُمقْ شخصياتهْ و تركيباتها ..
بـ لذيذْ حُواراتهْ و قِيمتها ..
بـ موسيقى تعزفْ الجمالْ بـ أيديْ ( إينيو موريكونيْ ) ..
و يضعْ ( توناتُوريْ ) لمساتهْ الأخِيرة و الساحرةْ .. لـ يقدم لنا تِلكْ الرائِعةْ بعازِف بوقْ يُدعى ( ماكس تويني ) ..
صديقْ ( 1900 ) الطيّبْ و هو نفسَهُ الراوِيْ يُقدّمْ دورهْ " بروت تايلور " و الذِيْ بـ رأيي قدمْ هُو و صدِيقهْ " تيمْ روثْ " أدوارْ العُمر .. بـ شخصيات تمْ بناءها بـ إحترافيّهْ فائِقة .. جعلتنا نُحبْ أي تعبيرْ .. أو أيّ كلمةْ .. أو أي لقطة يظهرون فِيهاْ ..
الفِيلمْ لن أستفيدْ من دُخولي بـ أعماقةْ لـ أنها ( سـ تغلبنيْ ) .. إلا أنّ بعض المشاهد سـ تُخلدْ طوِيلاً .. إجمالاً .. الفِيلمْ تجربهْ سِينمائِية مُشبعهْ .. بـ النكهة الإيطالِيهْ السَاحرة ..
وفي الأخير...
( 1900 ) أُسطورة صعبْ تكرارها .. ومن الصعب أن تبكيك اسطورة مثل مقدار ماتفعله تلك ..
قد تختلف الاراء والاذواق .. ولكن بكل صراحة،،،، اعتقد ان الذي لم يري هذا الانجاز.. فهو انسان أنحرم من الـ فن والإبداع !!
وللذين يحبون تحميل هذا الفيلم : أسطورة 1900 هو فيلم كبير يستحق المشاهدة إذا كنت تقدر الموسيقى ومتابعة ثقافات الشعوب ، والقصص التي تتأمل في أعماق الإمكانات البشرية والغرض منها. على الرغم من انه من الناحية الفنية فيلم أجنبي وناطق باللغة الإنجليزية، الا انك ستعيش داخل احداثه وكأنه ناطق بلغتك الوطنية والشخصيات الفاعلة كنجوم بارزين في أفلام هوليوود. لذا ، ليس هناك الكثير هنا أن يشعرك بأجنبية العمل على الإطلاق.
ومع ذلك ، انها قصة مسلية ، عاطفية ، لاتخلو من روح الدعابة في كثير من الأحيان ، ومثيرة للتفكير من شأنها أن تحصل على تفكيرك في حياتك الشخصية الخاصة.

Synopsis: Born, abandoned, and raised on a transatlantic ocean-liner called the SS Virginian, Danny Boodman T.D. Lemon (Tim Roth), better known as "1900," grows up and spends his entire life at sea. A piano genius, 1900 becomes the eccentric, popular centerpiece of the ship's musical ensemble.
Later he meets and befriends Max Tooney (Pruitt Taylor Vince), a trumpet player who begins performing with the rest of 1900's group. Never having stepped on land, and having no desire to do so, 1900 gains and shares insight on life purely through interactions with the Virginian's passengers.
But after many years and countless transatlantic crossings, the Virginian is eventually due to be scuttled. Suspecting that 1900 is still aboard, Max tries desperately to save his friend. But even in the end, does the piano player still have reason to stay on the ship that has been the only home he's ever known
Storyline

Shortly after the Second World War, Max, a transplanted American, visits an English pawn shop to sell his trumpet. The shopkeeper recognizes the tune Max plays as one on a wax master of an unreleased recording, discovered and restored from shards found in a piano salvaged from a cruise ship turned hospital ship, now slated for demolition. This chance discovery prompts a story from Max, which he relates both to the shopkeeper and later to the official responsible for the doomed vessel, for Max is a born storyteller. Though now down on his luck and disillusioned by his wartime experiences, the New Orleans-born Max was once an enthusiastic and gifted young jazz musician, whose longest gig was several years with the house band aboard the Virginian, a posh cruise ship. While gaining his sea legs, he was befriended by another young man, the pianist in the same band, whose long unlikely name was Danny Boodman T.D. Lemons 1900, though everyone just called him 1900, the year of his birth. Abandoned in first class by his immigrant parents, 1900 was found and adopted by Danny, a stoker, and raised in the engine rooms, learning to read by reading horseracing reports to his adoptive dad. After Dannys death in an accident, 1900 remained on the ship. Increasingly lured by the sound of the piano in the first-class ballroom, he eventually became a gifted pianist, a great jazz improvisationist, a composer of rich modern music inspired by his intense observation of the life around him, the stories passengers on all levels of the ship trusted him enough to tell. He also grew up to be a charming, iconoclastic young man, at once shrewd and oddly innocent. His talent earned him such accolades that he was challenged by, and bested Jelly Roll Morton in an intense piano duel that had poor Max chewing paper on the sofa in agonies of suspense. And yet for all the richness and variety of his musical expression, he never left the ship, except almost, once, in the aftermath of his infatuation with a beautiful young woman immigrant who inspired the music committed to the master Max discovers in the pawnshop. Max realizes that 1900 must still be on the ship, and determines to find him, and to find out once and for all why he has so consistently refused to leave.

حصل هذا الفيلم على خمسة جوائز , ديفيد دوناتلو وهى الاوسكار الايطالية..منها افضل مخرج ل تورنتارى, وحصلت اغنية الفيلم على جائزة معهد الفيلم الاوروبى لافضل اغنية , وحصلت نفس الاغنية على جائزة الجولدن جلوب , وهى للموسيقار الايطالى "اينو موركينو" وهو احد اهم رموز الموسيقى التصويرية الايطالية.. ورشح للاوسكار اربع مرات, منها موسيقاه المميزة عن فيلم المخرج الكبير برايان دى بالما..The Untouchables
